What to Expect

You’re here to find the most effective physical therapy treatment for your condition. That’s why we are here too. Our committed approach to a high-level of communication and understanding will allow us to apply our thousands of hours of clinical experience to the issue you are uniquely experiencing. Without prior assumptions, we are here to find the path to recovery that suits you and you alone.

As such, we are also committed to measuring your improvement every step of the way. As recommended by top physical therapy researchers, we set benchmarks for several different areas of improvement.

We measure success in three ways:

  1. Function — How well does your body function after you are finished with your course of therapy? We expect you to experience a minimum of 70 percent improvement. A 100 percent improvement means you are completing all your life’s tasks with ease and are on your way to full, long-term recovery — that’s our goal.
  2. Pain — We expect to see at least a 50 percent reduction in pain with clients on our course of recommended therapy. We regularly exceed this expectation.
  3. Satisfaction — Combining an increase in function and a decrease in pain goal allows Life’s Work Physical Therapy to quantify a vision for the best, long-term self-management plan for our clients. This empowers you with the knowledge to lead your fullest, most pain-free life.

  • Justine is so awesome all of her recommendations were spot on. She is gentle and kind. I have already recommended Life’s Work Physical Therapy to friends.

    Capella C.

  • Most of my patients come back from physical therapy there raving both about their experience there and about the fact that their condition is much improved. I have sent them patients with very challenging pain issues and have had them come back dramatically improved, even those that had been through long-term physical therapy with other groups and evaluations with other specialists. I think they do a great job at looking at the whole person.

  • I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you what a difference you've made in my life. You helped me not only to regain some physical capabilities but also to find, and nurture, an acceptance of what this body of mine can reasonably do. I don't feel that I go to a place of fear and panic when I get a flare of symptoms, but rather I have a sense that it can be managed with correct care, and that I will recover. Your calm, competent care has empowered me and I so appreciate that. Thank you for everything.

  • Brad has been honest and clear in communicating with me through each phase of this process. Even when I was frustrated, Brad remained calm and encouraging. He is hands down the best physical therapist that I've ever worked with (and I've had at least 5). Because of his willingness to truly help me get better, and find resolution, the main "cause" of the pain was identified. He listened, he asked questions when he felt things weren't improving, he sought for more tests. 10+ years later, I am finally in a position to truly get better and healthier. I cannot thank Brad enough! Excellent service and professionalism!

  • Katie Toner is one of the most professional and caring health care providers I've ever had. She has great communication skills and made me feel very comfortable. I will definitely refer her to friends and family.

  • My experience with everyone at Life's Work PT has been excellent. Kathryn is someone who I would, and will recommend to friends. Very competent and really dear.

  • As a family doctor, I have referred patients to many physical therapists. One of the most effective and exciting places I have referred to is Life's Work Physical Therapy. That is because the curiosity and attention to detail by the therapists is above and beyond that of many clinics, and for patients who have not been able to gain control over their physical problems, because the problems had not been diagnosed so precisely, that is exciting. The therapists at Life's Work PT are curious, very skilled, creative, and have a hands on approach which i believe enhances the traditional therapies. I have been extremely satisfied with their care of my patients.
